TFTs for OLED Displays
Jin Jang
We are using small size mobile OLED and large OLED TV displays. The TFTs for mobile application changes from LTPS (Low Temperature Poly-Si TFT) to Low Temperature Poly-Si Oxide (LTPO) TFTs. On the other hand, oxide TFT backplanes are used for OLED TV. The substrate for the TFTs changes from glass to PI plastic substrate. In this talk we will review the development of TFTs for AMOLED manufacturing and focus on the current issues of TFT R&D for display applications.
