Jin Jang

Jin Jang is a Professor at Department of Information Display and Advanced Research Center of Kyung Hee University. He is the author or co-author of over 1000 papers, of which over 650 are in SCI Journals such as Nature and Advanced Materials. He is working on oxide, LTPS and LTPO TFT arrays for displays, flexible AMOLED, AM micro-LED and AM TFT sensors. He reported the first full color AMLCD, flexible AMOLED, and full color AMOLED using white OLED at SID Display Week. He is currently a Director of Advanced Display Research Center (ADRC) and had served as a General Chairs of IMID and SID Display Week.

TFTs for OLED Displays

Jin Jang

We are using small size mobile OLED and large OLED TV displays. The TFTs for mobile application changes from LTPS (Low Temperature Poly-Si TFT) to Low Temperature Poly-Si Oxide (LTPO) TFTs. On the other hand, oxide TFT backplanes are used for OLED TV. The substrate for the TFTs changes from glass to PI plastic substrate. In this talk we will review the development of TFTs for AMOLED manufacturing and focus on the current issues of TFT R&D for display applications.
